To Request Volunteers
  1. Qualification of a host organization:
Basically, NISVA sends volunteers only to non-profit organizations, institutions, and groups. However, if the assignment of volunteers is deemed to be in the public's interest NISVA may accept requests from private industries or corporations.
  2. Eligible Countries:
For the time being, NISVA accepts requests only from host organizations located in the following countries: The Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Mongolia, Cambodia and Vietnam.
  3. Funding for host organization's programs:
Please note that NISVA provides the host organization with human resource volunteers, but not with financial assistance to the programs of the organization. The host organization should have the financial means to carry out its programs.
  4. Sending your application
A host organization that requests volunteers should send a formal application letter, e-mail or fax in English to NISVA in Tokyo, addressing the following areas of concern:
    1. A brief history or mission statement, concerning the goals of the organization and, its financial standing. (Pamphlets are useful).
    2. A list of past activities/achievements or a line of products related to the organization. (Catalogues would be useful.)
    3. Main reasons for requesting volunteers.
(The specific reason/overall objective should be stated.)
    4. Detailed description of the assistance requested:
The nature of the assignment, the place of employment and location, main concerns, required skills, and expected results.
